On the foot of the mountain, in the village
known as middle Trikala in Korinth we created the traditional guest
house Nymphes, on a green mountainous scenery in an altitude of
1.000m. the guest house has been built of local stone and wood with
lots of love and passion. It constitutes an easy to access
destination as it is located only 143km from Athens and 123km from
Patra, giving you the opportunity to escape from the hustle and
bustle of the town, enjoying the fresh air and the unique
environment of the mountain.
According to the myth, most of the ancient nymphs, who were young in
age women creatures of holy origin, used to live in the wild nature
and roamed the mountain (Kyllini), accompanying goddess Artemis and
playing with her. All of them were extremely beautiful, they were
singing and dancing along with god Panas in the prairies, on the
slopes of the mountain and they were singing hymns with their
wonderful, sweet voices to praise the god. On Kyllini from Nymph
Maia and god Dias there was born Hermes. It is a mountain full of
mythology and local traditions of nymphs, ferries and elves… |
